Job Purpose

  • The primary focus will be on contributing to the transformation of technology solutions and tools for the Loan Portfolio Management (LPM) team for core monitoring and proactive portfolio management of the GCF loan portfolio after approval/implementation, and for critical MIS and analysis for management considerations.


Specific accountability

  • Monitor credit trends in the portfolio. 
  • Detect and escalate salient industry trends and recommend appropriate action to senior team members. 
  • Regularly perform a segment analysis in order to assess the concentration or trends of the portfolio.
  • Be responsible for timely preparation of various portfolio analysis reports for consideration by management.
  • Proper understanding of all financial ratios mentioned in the facility agreements related to various loans and withdrawals which are recorded in the LPM system and related LPM tracking devices.
  • Set up and maintain a covenant tracker for each account to monitor financial covenants and get updated information such as audited financial statements, management accounts, valuation reports, etc.
  • Sound understanding of corporate banking products: term financing (syndicated/binary), working capital loans (trade/bank guarantee/letter of credit/credit receipts), global markets (foreign exchange, options, hedging), cash management, etc.
  • Assist the team in supporting the business plan taking into account competitive, regulatory and environmental factors affecting the industry and our customers.
  • Assist the FAB LPMSD team to ensure compliance with all legal, compliance, risk and audit requirements. 
  • Managing the alert and assisting in taking appropriate actions to meet regulatory requirements (UAE and international).


qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Finance/Engineering.
  • Strong academic background from reputable institutions in the Middle East or UAE market is preferred.
  • Continuing Certificate/Graduate Degree in Finance/Management Education preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the banking and financial services sector with significant credit and risk expertise.
  • Understanding of legal concepts and loan mechanics, LMA, APLMA and various LPM documentation clauses, covenants, security, etc.
  • Understand the implications of financial accounting and valuation principles.
  • Strong writing, analytical communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Work under pressure and strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English. Familiar with the local, Middle Eastern and international markets.
