Job Purpose

  • The Operations Governance & Oversight Analyst position ensures end-to-end booking and processing knowledge of Markets Products such as: FX, Options, Fixed Income, Securities, Commodities, Derivatives, etc., and requires relevant extent of support, oversight and analysis within Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG (CGME). 
  • This is a developing professional role, integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices, allowing to deal with most topics independently and demonstrates some latitude to solve complex topics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Service Delivery and Monitoring for Markets Operations activities within CGME, which includes Outsourcing oversight and risk management tasks for more than 35 Citi service provider teams located worldwide, including Breaks Oversight Management; Reporting – Internal, Supporting and managing large data sets and analytics for Regulatory interactions with Bundesbank, BaFIN, ECB, EMEA region Regulatory requirements, etc.; Management Information reporting preparation; Supporting Internal and External Audits, Coverage of any other business activities topics within any of the internal stakeholders including Business, Legal, Compliance, Risk management topics, etc.
  • Ensuring the quality and service of Markets Governance related functions, escalating issues with relevant stakeholders including analysis of the situation and best practices, driving solution-oriented suggestions, and obtaining clearance from Management for implementation.
  • Troubleshooting to resolve any systemic internal and client’s issues within a complex environment of multiple booking, processing, risk management and accounting systems in connection with CGME Markets Operations, including driving Automation initiatives and solutions and working with various stakeholders (ex. Technology, Legal, Compliance, etc.) across the Bank for implementation.
  • Supporting German Market Regulatory Requirements and Policies regular update monitoring, knowledge, understanding & application in day-to-day activities to ensure strong Risk and Control Infrastructure at all levels.
  • Ensure full coverage of regular business hours with flexibility, including support of local Markets Operations teams and team members within the structure.
  • Ongoing Management support around any internal and external requests related to the Operations Governance & Oversight.
  • Perform the role tasks and other tasks as may be assigned by management in quality, efficiency and timeliness manner, establishing and delivering great results.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years previous experience.
  • Technical proficiency and/or writing is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independent of direct supervision.
  • Ability to influence key decision makers.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines and levels of management.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel, PPT.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Fluent German and English Language skills.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
