Job Purpose
- Help develop and implement strategy for the M&A business in MENAP.
Key Accountabilities
- Originate and execute M&A advisory transactions to deliver against the MENAP M&A team's budget.
- Help deepen key client relationships and selectively acquire new relationships to assist in M&A origination efforts.
- Leverage the MENAP M&A platform to the promote the Bank, including cross selling other related banking products.
- Lead on origination of M&A mandates by leveraging on existing client relationships, contributing to idea generation and engaging in high quality pitches to the bank's clients.
- Work in close coordination with senior bankers, client coverage and other region M&A teams to originate of M&A transactions.
- Communicate with senior management of clients and ensure that advisory services and quality of work meet the highest industry standards.
- Efficiently manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as a leader of various deal teams.
- Effectively manage deal teams and encourage a culture of collaboration in the team.
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Take individual responsibility to ensure risk-taking is disciplined and focused.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy or equivalent.
- Client connectivity and prior transaction experience in the Middle East.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and all levels in the organisation.
- Strong technical and quantitative skills; superior understanding of and ability to guide and evaluate financial analysis.
- Strong work ethic, with ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Sector expertise or prior experience with clients in middle east would be considered a plus.
