Job Purpose

  • The position is responsible to ensure on Handling multitude of tasks associated with all trade finance products. 
  • Ensure all process steps are performed as per agreed Process note/SOPs with relevant stake holder. 
  • Responsible for delivering FTC process end to end with agreed SLA, TAT and top accuracy levels.


Key Result Areas

  • Ensuring efficient error free processing of trade finance transactions with strict compliance to policies and within the agreed SLAs and if required, communicate with relevant stakeholders for further actions accordingly with end to end tracking & control mechanism.
  • Investigate records/files in order to establish or clarify facts required to progress queries raised internally and externally.
  • To escalate transactions of unusual nature. Ensure timely escalate to Manager if action items are being delayed/not responded within defined timelines.
  • To identify risk in day-to-day operations and bring to attention of management. End to end coordination with relevant stakeholders for any exception & clarification till closure/resolution.
  • Ensuring conformance to internal procedures / policies / guidelines and local and international norms and regulations as applicable Liaise with customers and resolve queries / issues.
  • Deal with customer / counterpart in other banks to respond to queries and problems.
  • Correspondence of routine nature with customers and other external / internal contacts.
  • Responsible for all Trade Finance Related record management and files maintenance.
  • To participate actively in the various initiatives within section / unit and the Bank as and when required.
  • To suggest ideas and strive for continuous process improvement.
  • Preparation and verification of statistical data for management, internal and external relationship.
  • Testing of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Keep abreast of developments and changes in Import Regulations, U.C.P. and other legal aspects to ensure that correct procedures are followed.
  • Ensure no failure/error against defined/agreed OPM, APPM, SOPs and SLA.
  • Verify Signature on customer applications as per their mandate.
  • To provide technical support to Business Units RM & Trade Sales.
  • To undertake specialized technical duties/assignments related to Trade Finance.
  • To provide technical guidance to customers when needed.
  • Performing daily/monthly reconciliations and follow-ups on outstanding.
  • May verify & authorize transactions as needed.
  • Perform in line with the given objective/KPI.
  • Any other duty/task as entrusted by the superiors.


Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Graduate in the field of Commerce/Banking/Business Administration.
  • Holder of professional certification such as CITF/CDCS/CSDG.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Computer systems, Knowledge of SWIFT, PC skills and internal control mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English, Bilingual (preferred English, Arabic).
  • knowledge about ‘Trade Products’ and their functionality/mechanism.
  • Good knowledge of Bank’s accounting procedures.
  • Good knowledge of latest ICC Rules, ISBP, INCOTERMS 2010, Local Banking and Commercial Law, Legal and Transactional risks.
  • Experience of handling new System UATs, requirements and Defects and flexible to learn new systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and good typing speed.
  • Capable to handle work pressure, Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and good team player.
