Job Purpose

  • Lead the Internal Control functions for Operations (including all International locations).
  • Develop and lead an Operations Excellence framework across Operations.
  • Develop and lead a Project Governance & Digital Maturity framework for Operations.
  • Provide proactive support to GH Operations, covering: Strategy, Performance Reporting, Communications, Management Committee & People Forum, Expense Management.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Represent the GH OPS and Operations Group in various key bank-wide forums and committees wherever required and take appropriate decisions as the situation may require. 
  • Resolve inter-group issues that impact Operations Group through negotiations and coordination.
  • Provide proactive support to GH OPS.
  • Developing and monitoring the delivery of the rolling Operations Strategic plan.
  • Direct monitoring of certain types and threshold of expenses.
  • CEO Performance Reviews, ExCo presentations, TownHall materials.
  • Develop and co-ordinate proactive employee communication activities across Operations Group.
  • Coordinate Operations Management Committee & People Forums.
  • Review internal as well as external reports, identify key issues and provide guidance to initiate changes in policy and procedures.
  • Assess inquiries directed to Group Head of Operations and advise the appropriate course of action.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills. 
  • Internal Control & Operational Risk Management, Programme & Project Governance, Operating Models & Organizational design, Process Improvement, Operational Resourcing & Strategy.
  • Excellent inter-personnel, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to transform data into intelligence and useful management reports.
  • 15 years+ of experience in Banking Operations. 
  • Exposure to the international financial services industry.
  • Successfully designed and managed large organization wide activities/projects.
  • Experience in working internationally and across multiples markets and regions.
