Business Continuity and Incident Manager

Job Porpuse

• The Manager BCIM UAE is responsible for working with businesses and functions to ensure that plans and arrangements are fit for purpose and that any issues identified are promptly resolved. 
• The role involves providing advice and guidance to assigned businesses/functions on all aspects of Business Continuity Planning. 
• It also involves designing, developing, and implementing training programmes and quality assurance programmes and conducting briefings and reviews as necessary.

Job Description

• Primarily accountable and responsible to guide and facilitate BCIM activities within the bank.
• Development of seamless BCIM framework for the bank operations, including the remote offices.
• Scoping, designing and implementing customised BCIM solutions to ensure planning our response against specific and situational crisis scenarios.
• Primarily accountable and responsible to guide and facilitate BCIM activities within the bank.
• Development of seamless BCIM framework for the bank operations, including the remote offices.
• Oversight and guidance provided to Business Continuity Coordinators and stakeholders within GBs/GFs.
• Works closely with the Regional Head of BCIM to ensure that all new initiatives/requirements are fully understood and implemented in relevant GBs/GFs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is a must to obtain UAE visa.
• Knowledge of BCIM issues and understanding of specific local threats and hazards.
• Working experience in leading and managing Business Continuity programs.
• Knowledge of BCIM industry trends and practices. Professional BCIM Certification, such as ISO 22301, CBCP, MBCI, etc…
• Ability to work across all levels of the organisation, from executive management to individual employees.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence senior executives.
• Sound knowledge of internal and external Banking operations and policy documents i.e. GSM, Operations FIM, the Central Bank guidelines etc.
• Working knowledge of the underlying technology infrastructure within HSBC.
