Job Responsibilities

  • You will build up and develop expertise related to the development of allocated industries and sectors.
  • Part of your role will be processing of credit requests submitted to Frankfurt as responsible PCRU by SG Group’s global network.
  • The preparation of credit applications that are "ready for decision", which have to be submitted to and decided at the respective level of delegated lending authorities belongs to your tasks.
  • It is also part of your job to update corresponding Corporate Credit analyses regularly, including well-funded calculations of risk concentration, cash flow projections, as well as proposals of an internal Obligor Rating.
  • You will monitor the existing allocated credit portfolio.
  • You will cooperate closely with Senior Bankers and Client Relationship Managers from Coverage and Investment Banking as well as with Business and Product Lines.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient work as well as interaction with other local and international departments and Business Lines within SG Group is also an important part.
  • You will participate in optimization of processes, ensuring quality standards and improving efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • University degree in economics, finance or business administration, or a bank apprenticeship with advanced training.
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in the area of credit analysis including Cash Flow analysis at a Corporate or Investment bank is mandatory.
  • Past exposure to the specific challenges related to LargeCap and MidCap Corporate clients is a Plus.
  • Sound knowledge in balance sheet analysis as well as in accounting rules (IFRS/IAS, US-GAAP and HGB [the German Commercial Code]).
  • Relevant knowledge in the area of cash flow analysis, financial projections and peer group comparison.
  • Experience in the area of risk analysis as well as – if possible – good knowledge of SG’s internal credit approval processes.
  • Good know-how in innovative commercial products of corporate financing with focus on the German-speaking investment banking market.
  • Profound knowledge of LargeCap and MidCap Corporate clients in Germany / Austria / Switzerland is desirable.
  • Fluency in both English and German language (oral and written) is required.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Ability to work and cooperate in a young team in an international environment.
  • Good organisational skills and Flexibility.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to take over responsibility.
